The 28th annual Maryland Sheep and Wool Festival took place on May 5th and 6th at the Howard County Fairgrounds in West Friendship, Maryland.
Sponsored by the Maryland Sheep Breeders Association, the event is the largest of its kind in the United States.
Six barns, an enormous exhibition hall, and all remaining outdoor space were occupied by vendors selling everything remotely related to fiber production and care, from fleece, dye plants, and spinning wheels to sheep vaccination syringes and portable fencing units.
Four other barns served as temporary home to sheep being shown and sold.
