Just kidding, I'm age 70 in Dec. and love knitting! Just anxious to visit with those online that like to knit too...My Mom knitted lots when I was growing up in Iowa but I actually started teaching myself several years ago and enjoy the creativity it generates and the way it helps me relax. And, I also need some directions occasionally and thought this Knitters Group would be a good learning tool. My hubby and I have retired to Arizona..Our only "child" is our 8 year old Chihauhau named Trinket. I also knit her sweaters...Bye for now Linda

Welcome to the KR family Linda! I think you'll find us a fun and helpful group.

I'm sure Trinket looks wonderful in his sweaters.

Hi from another 70-year-old!
This knitters group will be a haven, we hope, for help and laughs and counsel and ideas and (ahem) enabling of us all to enjoy our craft!
Good for you for teaching yourself!

Enjoy the KR Forums -- we are glad to have you aboard!

Hi Linda,
Like you, I grew up watching my mom knit but didn't have a real interest in learning myself until after retirement. Now I have discovered I actually enjoy knitting and (usually) find it relaxing. You will find the people on this forum to be friendly, knowledgeable, and encouraging.
Lucky you to be in Arizona. I can only dream as we face the advent of another interminable winter in the Midwest!

Welcome to the forum,Linda, from Maine. Lots of experience and comraderie here. I have a 1 1/2 year old beagle names Harmony and on Saturday we will have a 7 mo. old beagle named Sadie, and I knit for them too. (Sadie will be wearing the sweaters Harmony outgrew from last year.)
