I posted this on another forum, but figured I'd give it a whirl here, too...
It always seems that there are plenty of great knitting patterns out there for wearables of any kind, but when it comes to crocheting, it's the Sahara Desert. I have some books for crochet wearable patterns, but not as many as for knitting. When it comes to crochet, it's always so difficult to find patterns that are not fussy, trendy, more decorative than functional, etc. For instance, I like feminine, yet functional sweaters (no shrugs or lacy tops that serve no useful purpose other than to make you look like you just warped in from the '70s). The only designer I've found who creates great crochet wearables is Melissa Leapman; however, lately, she seems to have some knitting books coming out, but nothing for crochet.
So, who are your favorite crochet wearable designers and/or websites?

| I was going to say Melissa Leapman but you've already mentioned her work. I like Interweave Crochet but I totally agree with you that it is pretty slim pickings trying to find nice crochet patterns for wearables. |

Hi PBELKNAP,
Have you heard of Robyn Chachula? She is the woman behind the company Crochet by Faye. She has contributed to Interweave Crochet, Crochet Me, Crochet Today, and has a new book out called Blueprint Crochet. Check out her online gallery: http://www.crochetbyfaye.com/gallery.htm.
I've always liked her designs and I think you will, too.

I like stuff by Doris J. Chan (think top down, try on as you go) and Mary Jane Hall.
