looking for a pattern for a gift I am giving a friend a shawl that's kinda of shallow but long in width (she has big boobies so she doesn't want something to add too much to her she wants -a little bit of lace -fringe with beads
I once saw a shawl that looked like it was knit with multiple yarns each yarn was knit one row and then another was added at each end the yarn was left long to create fringe
I cant find a pattern like that
any help? thanks

Was it knit sideways or lengthways? And how come the wool didn't come out?
I knit a hug into every stitch |

Grand-moogi, I'm not certain of the pattern being sought, but the yarn left at the ends for fringe probably was knotted. I've made the lengthwise scarves that way, changing colors every single row. When completed, the strands of yarn at the ends were knotted together in small bunches, then trimmed all the same length.
71Bear, I would think beads could be added to many patterns, whether actually called for or not. The Wingspan Scarf is very versatile, can be made as long as wanted, narrow for a scarf or wider for a shawlette. I believe I saw some on Ravelry to which beads were added, although I don't recall seeing fringe.
