| Help!! I've bought a beautiful nostepinne (Crazy Lanea, this is your fault!). But now I have to figure out how to use it. Any thoughts, suggestions, or youtube links welcome! |

Pretty easy, really. You kind of zigzag the yarn up and down while turning the nostepinne, and you get a ball of yarn. I don't know of any links, but someone else surely will.

Hi Amarula, The YouTube video on using a Nostepinne that I liked was 11_Garn aufwickeln: Nostepinne/ Wickeldorn. It is not in English, but the video is quite detailed. The entire video is 9:14 minutes, but the wrapping portion is from 2:00 - 8:00. It took me a while to be relaxed while I wrapped. Try to remember not to pull your yarn too tight. The first dozen skeins I wound were egg shaped, but I finally got the hang of getting the yarn to move outward with an edge the way the video yarn ends up. These are much easier to stack. Good like. I find it very relaxing and rewarding! |
