I've been so head-down in my spinning this month that I didn't realize there was no thread here for this month's wool in the Knitter's Book of Wool wool-a-long (KBOW WAL).
Miss Clara chose Polwarth, which I happily spun during the Tour de Fleece on Ravelry. There are still a few days left in July, perhaps I can turn my 126 yards of worsted/bulky into some knitting!
I wrote up my Polwarth TdF adventure hereon my blog.
Luann, already wondering what August's wool will be!
I ordered Polwarth, aran weight, from Rovings. It took awhile to get from Canada to Indiana so I haven't even started my project yet. Tbe yarn is a natural dark brown that will be perfect for my thrummed mittens. The little crunch in the Polwarth will come in handy for grabbing onto the thrums.

I have Polwarth luxury blend fiber from Spirit Trail and Polwarth fiber from Sweet Georgia (that was my July club shipment) but haven't spun them yet. The luxury blend is beautiful, I might have to wait until my spinning improves to do it justice -- it would make a great cowl, like the Yarn Harlot's Pretty Thing.
