Is it a bad sign that I have *both* Alexandra and Paivatar in my stash so I could knit both the men's and women's version? Or that I love matchy-matchy stuff and am considering knitting Jane's Hedgerow socks to wear with Amy's Hedgerow mittens?

Minh, I think that's a great sign. I think the smaller mitts would also be great in Frija, and I think matching your mitts to your socks is excusable, as long as you aren't also wearing matching Hedgerow everything.

I just ordered Dream in Color Starry - going to make mitts for me and a pair for my daughter.

I love the pattern. Thanks for the incentive to get going on it. Doing a knit along should keep me on task as I tend to be an ADD knitter. (I'm not admitting how many WIP's I have!)

Has anyone decided when we'll actually be getting started on this? I will be incommunicado with the National Guard from 11 Jul - 25 Jul. I sometimes get a wee bit of knitting done but usually take a dishcloth because a) I'm exhausted the full 15 days and; b) this summer we're not going to Camp Atterbury but someplace in Kentucky. We don't even know if we'll be in a barracks (where at least we have fans and electricity!) or in tents. Ugh!

Anyway, I'm hope we start sometime in June so I'm not too far behind on it.

This will be my very first knitalong! I just moved to a new cube and team at work and it's freezing! I am never cold and have many "personal summers" so I guess the joke's on me. I thought about making a pair of mitts and just printed out this pattern so I guess it's meant to be.

Very cool! Although I'm really disappointed that we aren't going to do bike shorts. I had the yarn planned and everything.

Did anyone else have trouble when they got to the part of the thumb gusset on the hedgerow mitts where you knit 29 sts & slip 18 to waste yarn or a holder? I'm working this pattern on the magic loop 2 at a time and when I knit the 28 sts & slip the 18, I have 1 st. left over on the first side. Please advise!
