Hi All,
Has anyone used Berroco sox yarn? I received a skein for at a Christmas exchange and am in the process of knitting the socks. First one is done and have started the second, the colors are ok. A little to much orange in the skein I received, but my problem with it is, it doesn't feel soft. It feels a little rough, will that go away after washing it? I have been making a pair w/ LL sheperd sport (very soft) but stuck on the pattern, will meet w/ my friend tomorrow and get going again. My first atempt at toe up socks.

If you mean the acrylic yarn, then yes, I have. I knitted it on US size 1.5 needles. Size 1 felt hard on the hands. If your gauge turned out the same as mine and you used size 1, then maybe it does come out feeling hard. Then again, that may be the nature of acrylic yarn.

The Berroco Sox yarn is 75% superwash and 25% nylon
The colors are very intense.

I've used it and found that it softened up after washing which I know doesn't help much for the knitting but nevertheless... Maybe washing the skein before knitting would help your hands.

Thats an idea, finishing up the LL socks, they feel soo good. Will try washing for the second sock.
