Does anyone else have a problem with the smell of these brass neesdles? I hate it. I love the needles and bought several sizes without trying them. I have been using Addis pretty exclusively for years, and was really excited abou the sharper points. But I get physically sick at the brassy smell. I have Googled to find something that neutralizes brass smell, but no one had anything. I would think I can't be the only person who hates it, can I? I hate to give them up, but every row or so, I have to wash my hands and hold my work as far from me as I can. I have always hated the smell of brass, but didn't take that into consideration when I bought them. Any suggestions?
I am unable to use the new brass Lace Addi's. Turn black in my hands. And yes, I've tried both old and new "batches". I'm sure someone can explain the chemical response but I've always had brass turn when I touch it. And the smell! I had to tell customers who asked me to help them fix problems and were using the Addi Lace that their needles could turn black.
I'm just happy the Turbo's are not a problem for me.
