I have never bought this yarn, but I have seen it around and now I am enticed!

One question I have for those of you who have used it: Clara wrote:

"I was distracted by the yarn's subtle but intoxicating spicy scent of lanolin and spinning oil."

Does this mean you leave that stuff in, or wash it out? I'm wondering whether or not to use Eucalan or something in the wash? Or is plain water the order of the day?

I have made two sweaters with black water abbey yarn...and was especially happy to read Clara's review. I used baby shampoo for soaking/ extra washing needed. I like the stitch definition this yarn gives....really nice cables and traveling stitches. The colors are great too!

How do.

Ceil, the word "enticed" is perfect for Clara's wonderful review.

BJ, I am glad you wrote of stitch definition & cables because my imaginative mind went right to cables.

Thank you, Clara, for this review.
