The best blocking boards I've have found are those from Knitpics. They are the interlocking kind and come 9 to a box. I bought two boxes and have enough puzzle pieces for any configuration needed including large shawls. I have been using mine for over 3 years with no evident wear or tears. I also took one board and with a permanent marker drew out a 4 x 4 square for blocking my swatches. Hope this helps.Robyn

Good idea about the 4 x 4 square! I'm going to do it.
