I picked up the premiere issue at the bookstore last week, it's a special issue from Interweave: http://www.interweaveknits.com/preview/knit.wear-2011.asp
I think it is a little pricey at $14.99 but I love the off-rib cardigan and the articles on grafting and ribbing are quite detailed, like a technical class. I don't really go for the Eileen Fisher-J Jill-loose-cardigans-that-don't-close look so I will probably add buttons or closures to all the cardigans in this issue :)

I guess you have to be a woman of a certain age to love Eileen Fisher clothing. (And a woman of a certain income, of course.) I'm there in age and do sometimes splurge on her clothing. I use the Lantern Moon big safety-pin shawl closures on those sweaters. So, I will enjoy looking at the Pam Allen-designed sweaters. Thanks for the heads up on this magazine.

I agree with you on the price, but to be honest, since I felt that this was (apart from Knitscene which I think has only become better and better) the nicest publication that Intwerweave had for quite some time, I did not hesitate long. Apart from all the Pam Allen designs, there are some other nice ones that I could see myself make & wear (like the off-rib cardigan, the exposed seam and some others). The styling is really well done and the articles are good too. So yes I bought it and am happy to have it.

I hadn't heard of this one, even from the Interweave website! So thank you Minh!
And I love the look of the designs, checking on the "bonus photos".....although I agree with Minh about buttons, and with flicka about Pam Allen"s work.
It is nice to have the clean look! Thanks for the tip, Minh!

LOVE the tulip sleeve pullover. (Wish I had the arms for it.) Thanks, Minh!

Some really nice designs - I'll look for this mag.

LOVE KNIT.WEAR! I AM SCREAMING AND JUMPING UP AND DOWN BECAUSE I LOVE IT SO MUCH! Seriously, knitters, find this magazine. The spring/summer one is out now and the premiere issue that Minh speaks of is available only on digital download, but that's lovely too. So many beautiful wearable things in both.
