Pam, it took me a long time to realize the great truth to this!

And the corollary (mentioned in the blog): Don't bring something too big to carry comfortably!
"Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, 'I will try again tomorrow.' " |

And, of course, that means knitting cannot generally be monogamous, since you need an easy non-concentration-required project for KIPping and at least one something a bit more challenging for knitting in private. My problem at the moment: I'm on the end of a test knit -- second sleeve of a little girl top -- and since that has a target completion date, have nothing else in progress but I'm going out and about today so .... I have to find something to start now.

Sja, So true. I always have a pair of simple socks on the needles in a little project bag ready to stuff in my daily bag if I'm going to have any waiting around during my day. |

As a long time crocheter and a new knitter I decided to take only crochet projects on trips, at least crochet is easy to unravel and correct mistakes if you made one. Knitting is so much more tedious to correct mistakes and takes more concentration than crochet.

Ah, yes...that's going to be an upcoming hint - attempting to correct errors in take-along projects!
