Up in "General Techniques" a new member asked about the pattern shown in this link:

Even though the Etsy seller calls it "hand knit" I think it might be crochet. I know nothing about crocheting other than which end of the hook to hold, but looking at the Harmony guide to crochet stitches, I thought it looked like Solomon's Knot.

What do crocheters think?

Yes but it does look knit to me, because I've knit a similar pattern to it. I'm also a long time crocheter. The way it's done is with big needles, somewhere around size 13, and it's got a lot of YO repeats, I'm pretty sure of this.

The Horai pattern is knitted. It appears here in "Random crochet-related chitchat" because I thought the original might be a crochet pattern. LJ identified it and answered here, because that's where I posted the question.

Thanks Flicka for your detective work.
I love the stitch, but the shawl looks unfinished.MOP. I would have a border for this stitch. Three to five stitches along the length.

It is definitely not the Solomon's love-knot stitch. I have made shawls using this stitch and I am currently finishing up another one.
