I purchased this new afghan book and am very pleased with the purchase. So many wonderful projects in this book. I already started the Stripe by Stripe baby afghan in primary colors and it is so cheery. It is well worth the investment.

Are you using the Comfort yarn? If so, what do you think of it?

I just got the book too, and I have to say, it's the first thing to ever make me rethink my aversion to crochet. There are some wonderful patterns, both knit and crochet.

GFTC, I have used Comfort for a baby hat, and in my opinion it is quite splitty. The colors are wonderful, but the splits, yikes! I gave the hat away so I cannot comment on how the yarn wears.

Thanks for the response. There's a lot of talk about this book and the yarn. The next big thing, it seems like.

Anderknit, it you like the Spiral crocheted afghan but would prefer to knit it you can get the pattern Best of Both Whirls from Woolly Thoughts.

No I am not using the comfort yarn. I have so much yarn in my stash that I did not want to go out and buy anymore right now. I do charity knitting, so I try to use what I have. I bought some Red Heart Eco Ways that is really soft and I would like to try that for some of the baby afghans. I bought the book knowing that I probably wouldn't really use the comfort yarn. It was the patterns I was after.
