I've been trying to get my husband of four years to give knitting a shot. Begging/pleading/reverse psychology all failed. Only when his sister announced that she was pregnant did my husband finally get the urge to pick up sticks. I forced him to do a few dishcloths, (didn't we all have to start that way?), and when he found out he was going to have a nephew we spent an obscene amount of time finding the perfect blue yarn. The blankie turned out pretty well, and now my husband is slowly but surely knitting up another one.
