I have the Bell Howell "daylight" lamp, floor model. It is comparable to the OTT lite. I paid 49.95 + shipping for it. The ad was in my Creative Knitting magazine. I really like it. There is no heat, and the head is totally adjustable. They also have a table model.

I was just thinking about this thread and here it popped up again. For those of you who bought the knock off at Walmart..what was the brand? And did it come with a full spectrum bulb?

I use reveal bulbs in some lamps here...by my loom and by my sewing machine...but I swear those bulbs just don't last at all. Anyone else have that problem?

Don't say that, kknitter! I just put Reveal bulbs in my living room...

I wonder if I ought to actually brave the stores on Friday (NOT my usual practice!!) and go up to Joann's to look for the OTT light (I just can't shop at Walmart...)

I have purchased the Reveal light bulbs and they seem to last a very short time.

You don't have to go on Friday, if you can get your hands on the Joann flyer. There are 50% off coupons for Friday, but also for Saturday, and Saturday the 3rd.

Do the Joann flyers usually appear in the paper? I usually just toss all the advertising circulars (we live quite a ways from the city with all the big stores, and don't get up there very often).

Never mind -- I think I've found them online, though I couldn't find a 50% coupon at a quick glance.

However, there IS a 50% online discount that's valid until tomorrow, so I may just do that instead. Save myself a trip to Burlington! Of course, the lamps are all currently at 40% off, so really, I'm only saving 10% with that promotion code, but still... I guess that probably covers the shipping.

The black Friday sale at JoAnn's has a small Ott for $29.95 on Friday, PLUS there's a coupon in their e-mail ad for another 10-20% off. I may succumb.
