I use my leftover eyelash yarn to make anklets. Use the eyelash yarn for the cuffs (1 1/2" to 2 1/2" depending on the recipient) then change to a solid color sock yarn. Anklets really stretch your sock yarn too. Only problem is....I'm out of eyelash yarn and have more requests for socks.

Gosh, you will have to buy more yarn! Have you ever noticed that in the process of using up yarn you wind up buying more yarn than what you were originally trying to use up? I have this down to a fine art.

What a great idea! I am definitely going to try this out, until now I have used these bits in my felted bags but with socks, now that's inspiring!!!

I have just finished knitting the last of my Christmas gifts - three pairs of bedsocks out of Plymouth baby alpaca for my bowling gals, now I feel like I could knit socks in my sleep!
