I have a Brother KX-350 knitting machine, that I have had for years but have never used, I am expecting a new grandchild and would like a real simple instuctions on how to make a simple baby blanket, I would appriciate any help
Why not have a garter stitch border at top and bottom and then on the sides, about 2-3 inches. Then seed stitch in the middle. Make it however long and wide you want it. It would be a simple "planket". (check your subject, I'm just kidding you.)
There's a section on machine knitting on the boards. If you post there, you may get some good help. I don't know much, if anything, about brother machines. I have always had the Bond.
Any basic, not computer machine will basically only produce stockinette. You might be best off knitting several strips of stockinette in different colors and then sewing them together and handknitting a border.
