My office manager went to Spain at the end of last year. She brought stuff back for all of us legal assistants (really nice lady!) She knows I'm a yarn nut and brought back some yarn for me. There are four 3.5 oz hanks (they were turned into balls for me so I'm not sure what the yardage is and there was no label on the hanks). I'm sure I won't be able to get more. Now what? Suggestions please!

What kind of yarn? Fiber, weight, etc.

What a nice gift!

It's hand dyed worsted weight (could be DK since it came from Europe) and it appears to be wool.

Can you weigh it and compare it to other light worsted skeins? Short of a yarn measure-er, that would be my best suggestion. Then check out the "what do I make with" section to see if there's anything there. I would probably suggest some kind of scarf, but depending on the size of the skeins you may have enough for a vest.

Love to see a picture!

Or if you have a niddy-noddy, you can turn one of the balls back into a skein & measure it that way. I've done that when I have a partial ball left, and am not sure how much there is.
