I am very pleased to announce that the Tidewater Knitting Guild of Virginia http://www.tkgv.blogspot.com/and The Va Beach Farmers Market http://www.vbgov.com/dept/agriculture/farmabout/ will present a Knit-Out & Crochet Day!

We're still in the detail planning stages, but here is what we know for sure:

Knit-Out & Crochet Day
Saturday, October 14, 2006
10:00am - 3:00pm
Activities will include: fashion show, learn to knit and crochet, drop off knitted/crochet items for charity, fix-it clinic, design contests, give aways, sit & knit area and much more!

For those not familar with the Va Beach area, there is of course the beach, but more importantly, there are SIX LYS stores all within 1/2 hour drive of one another...and 1 more in Williamsburg!

I'll post more info when we have all the plans in place.

Oh goodie Linda. A good reason for me to come and visit my family and the beach in October. I might even make it to Ewe Knits while I'm in town this weekend if I'm lucky (keeping my fingers crossed). Thanks for letting us know about October.

Hope you can make it by this weekend Indigo. It's KnittaPalooza weekend so things will be exciting. Lucy Neatby, Edie Eckman, Lyn Whorley and some locals instructors will be here teaching all weekend. I'll be in the store Friday afternoon and taking the side to side class with Lynn on Saturday.

And we were blown away when Farmers Market jumped at the change to co-host the Knit-Out & Crochet day. Now on to the planning!
