I have several of her books, and I've also knitted 3 of her sweaters. Her things really suit my lifestyle, and they are a joy to knit. The sweaters that she has designed using intricate stitch patterns are the ones that attract me, although I did do one of her colorwork ones. Her designs are ones that look good for a long time - not trendy, but with great style. Another designer that I like very much is Veronik Avery. She does beautiful fitted sweaters and skirts that I've seen in Interweave Knits. I'll probably never knit one of them because I no longer have the kind of figure for fitted clothes, frankly. But I have intense admiration for her as a designer. Very creative and wonderful use of detail.
I was a huge fan of Kristin's way back in the day.............. I still have one of her very first newsletters with a sweater for which the pattern is no longer available. :-( I emailed her and while she definitely remember the sweater, can no longer find the pattern.
Barbara: I replied to your post, but - being new to the Knitters' Review forums, I did it wrong! It sits in a folder all by itself in the Favorite Designers folder.
