I have finished my first sock of the Summer, and even cast on for the second one straight away!
It is knitted in Trekking colour #100.
It is too hot to wear them yet, but if this heat continues, then I will have a lot of socks knitted this summer!!

My first response was "What? It's too hot to wear them?"
The "summer" should have clued me in. Duh, you are in Australia and of course it's hot there! (My brain is a little slow today.)
Your socks look great!!! They will keep until it's cooler. Just gives you more time to make some others.
I've just finished my first pair of socks--Regia jaquard blues with a little brown stripe--I wore them yesterday and my DH finally noticed by the end of the day. He was actually impressed.
The good news is I now have been able to start on the Koigu KPPPM I've been drooling over since I bought it in October on a trip to the North Carolina mountains. They are fun to knit, because the yarn feels great and the colors are yummy--purples, and blue tones with a little rose thrown in.

I mainly knit socks during the summer because it is too hot to hold anything bigger, and I manage to get enough pairs knitted to last me through the rest of the year!

I did a double take on the title, Tam, because I thought, "Wow, she's waaaay ahead!". Gratz on finishing your sock.
