I was looking at the Joann's Sensations yarn online. It looks like they have several wool/nylon/other fiber blends. I was thinking of getting some for house type socks as I think most were worsted weight.

Has anyone used any of these yarns? Are they very loosely spun?

I used some of their wool novelty yarns for a couple of Christmas things - one felted, one not. The yarn had a nice feel, appears to be standard 60's merino fiber combined with nylon or whatever. The spinning job was actually pretty good. You won't want to use pointy needles, but I had no problems with splitting, for what it's worth.
