Hi,

Last night the very heavy Schacht spindle arrived (top 4" inch whorl, 3 oz.) When I was talking about this on the spindlers' list, after folks had recommended a heavier spindle, there was some worry that this would be TOO heavy. But it's GREAT. I really like the feel of it, and I can FEEL it spinning, and I am getting much better results with the fiber I have. One problem is probably that I have been using combed top. I do have some rolags a friend gave me, but at this point I am being pretty successful with the combed top. I am so pleased. The light spindles will have to go into hibernation until I get experienced enough to use them.

believe me it won't take you long to be spinning lace weight o the light spindles...
