You have got to see these needles. They are on ebay seller swimmingfish5. They are made from a pyrex-like glass that is durable and you can use these everyday. I can't describe how gorgeous they are and to knit with them is "like butter". Give it a look see...be the first on your block with glass knitting needles.

I agree they are really pretty, but I still think the liklihood of my breaking them is pretty high- I could see them as a decorative item. Plus, they are pretty costly...

I got a pair as a gift. They're beautiful! I've been told they're surprisingly strong. I haven't used mine yet, but hope to. My cleaning lady made me put them away so she didn't accidentally break them.

I've never used glass needles but I love the way they look. I might be tempted to try a pair except that they only come in larger sizes which I rarely ever use.
