I'm wondering what type of heel is your favorite when knitting socks? and the bonus question is why? I'm torn between a gusset heel because it wears well and an hourglass/short row heel because it's fast and can be used on cuff down and toe up socks.

you can do a 'reverse gusset heel too, (for toe up)
