I was thinking about making a red cape at first (a la Little Red Riding Hood ), and now I'm not sure I will wear a cape or a poncho very much, here in the cold Northeast. Besides, I already have a poncho.
Anybody got any other ideas about what I could make with it (for myself)? Is the Einstein coat a good candidate for this?

Only 600 yards? I am not sure that's enough for Einstein. How about a felted tote or slippers?

That's an idea. I failed to mention that it's very likely that more of the same dye lot is available at my LYS. I just have nine or ten skeins set aside. I have never felted. Maybe it's a good time to start.

| I am doing an "Oat Couture" vest pattern in the bulky Lopi that's coming out well. I doubt if it's going to take even six skeins. |

What is an Oat Couture vest? Sounds like a play on the words Haute Couture (high fashion).

They have lovely patterns, you can see many of them currently offered on the Elann site.

| Oat Couture is, of course, a play on words. But, they have great patterns, many available at local yarn shops. They are simple, good-looking, fairly easy, and most give directions for several different yarn weights which is why I like them. That gives me more options with my handspun yarns! |

I love the idea of a felted tote, or even a felted backpack!
