OK - So I did my first needle felting with one of the little pumpkins last fall (I admit it - I bought a kit to see what all the fuss was about) My DS (12), made a fantastic little female figure with purple hair. Then, I got wild and decided to see what could happen - I made a wire frame and covered it in wool needle felting all the time and have created this lovely male (yes, the anatomy is correct), figure - I haven't put his head on yet but I'm starting to think he needs wings - So - I don't know if anyone has done this or you have any advice but I am needle felting over some organza to get a wing shape for my lovely - He really is cool! - Crey

a freind of mine did the "black sheep designs" dragon
she felted roving over pipe cleaners then added locks on top
looked very interesting
you could try it over silk and wet felting that

I love the idea of pipe cleaners - It would make the base much less slippery - Oh well - next time. - Crey
