T'Was the night before Christmas and all through the house,
Every creature was knitting, including the mouse...

I've posted a little festive knitter's ditty here: http://www.janethornley.com/journal_knitters.php

Seasons greetings to everyone. May both your stash and your heart be full of good things for the coming year.

That's cute. Greetings to you, Jane. I'm currently wired from packing presents, cleaning, watching Phantom of the Opera twice in one day, and not knitting enough.
I think Denise has the perfect pic for your ditty on her blog.

Vi, at first it was hidden for me, then I fiddled with it a bit. Don't ask me how, I don't remember. Then the shy, but talented, mouse appeared.

It IS a hamster, Vi. A Siberian dwarf hamster to be exact. But they are about the same size as a mouse. : ) I had one just like this little guy a few years ago. Sweetest little fellow! Did you know that they are the only hamster that has thick fur on the *bottoms* of their feet? I guess it's great in ice and snow, but you should see them on vinyl floors!! Ha, ha!! Lisa

Lisa, did you teach yours how to knit, too?

Hmm...'every creature was knitting including the hamster...' just doesn't have the same ring to it. Think I'll keep pretending he's a mouse. ha.ha.
