i'm wondering if anyone can recommend a really good knitting machine for fair-isle knitting.
I would prefer an older machine, rather than a new one, but still would like something that isn't too manual and time consuming. I will be knitting from my own designs.
Hi: Both Brother and Singer machines can do fair isle knitting. You never mentioned the weight of the yarn you will be using. There are basically 3 different gauges of knitting machines. If you have never machine knit before, there is a big learning curve. Brother machines are no longer made, but parts are still available. Singer is still making machines, also there are some clones. There are punch card machines and electronic machines, both of which you could do your own designs. If you need more information, let me know, as I have several machines. Bernie
