Hey, everyone....I'm doing the happy dance....come dance with me!!! I finally figured out how to make a hat with a cuff, instead of knitting a long tube and making a double layer hat!!!!!
Here's what I did: after the weaving cast on I knit several rows, about 6 inches of knit. Then I very carefully...one needle at a time cranked the handle...I took the loop left over from the cast on row, and hung it back on every other needle as it came up. I turned the handle very slowly on the next round, and watched each needle to make sure it knit through both stitches on the needle...and presto...a cuff!!! I am so happy I finally figured out how to do that. I've been working on it in my head (I call that air knitting) for a while....do the happy dance with me!!!! keep the faith, share the peace.
