Happy New Year everyone!
I just made a batch o' bowls which I gave as Christmas gifts. The pattern from "One Skein" was easy as can be and with variegated yarn, the results were amazing.
Go check out my blog for photos of some of them. Now that the gifts are done, I'm going to make some for me.
Take care, Ellen

Oh, very cool. I think I want one. Or maybe I want something like that for my cat to nestle down in.

Those are great! I made a bowl as a gift for a wanna be knitter. I filled it with yarn and needles and a "gift certificate" for knitting lessons. I think these bowls can be filled with all kinds of great stuff and make wonderful gifts.

Goldie Girl, that's a fantastic idea! I love it.
When I gave the bowls on Christmas Day, everyone was amazed I had made them. Some people were even interested in how I did it, so I gave them a little "Felting 101" lecture!
They're so easy Patricia, you can make one for you and your cat. I bet he/she will love it. It's amazingly soft.
Take care, Ellen

I made several of these bowls over the last few weeks as well and love them all!! I loved seeing the ones with the Paton's varigated yarn and will cast one on today...
Did you double strand?? I am thinking I will on size 15 needles.
Happy knitting

Hi Janice,
I did not double strand and I used size 15 needles.
I know people who used Patons SWS doubled that, but with the Classic Wool I didn't need to.
Your bowls came out great. I also loved the striped tote you made. Now I'm thinking of making one with the leftover yarn from the bowls.
Take care, Ellen
