RETREAT

SEPTEMBER 12th - 14th, 2003

Shawmont
Hotel,

Ocean Grove, NJ

732-776-6985

info@shawmonthotel.com

Here's
the view from the porch of the
Shawmont

Nice porch, rocking chairs and LOTS of sand and sea!

Well, I've comitted
myself to the Shawmont and I'm organizing a small little beach
retreat - everyone is responsible for making their own lodging
reservations.

If there's enough demand I'll be happy to teach a small class in some
subject of interest to the majority (knitting with wire, making a
small bag, etc.) The cost for the class will be $30 plus materials
fee. All of the information on this is up at my website -
http://www.modeknit.com.

My goal is to make this affordable because - in my experience - it's
the folks who least can afford a break who need it the most!

If anyone wants to come but needs a roommate, why don't we use this
thread to try to hook up with each other? I'll start...

Married Knitter escaping family for a weekend seeks similar for
roommate situation.

I've booked the efficiency apartment that supposedly sleeps 4, but
I'm more inclined to think it probably sleeps 2 or 3 comfortably. I'd
be happy to share this with a nice, non-smoking and pleasant knitter
(is there any other kind?) who's looking for a roommate! I don't
smoke, I enjoy public radio and I read in bed. I don't think I snore,
but I could be wrong... Post here if you're looking - we'll get
ourselves all hooked up!

*Sigh* I wish I lived closer! Sounds like so much fun. What would be the closest major airport that I could drive from? Assuming I could swing the ticket. You sound like the perfect room mate, public radio and all. Who all is going? Is Wendy going?
