Hi there, I've got the back done and working on the fronts of Seedling from "Minnies". It's a seed-stitch cardigan. I *think* I would like to do a different collar, though, than the one in the pattern. The pattern just has you pick up 50 sts and knit seed stitch for 3 rows and that's it. But I think I would prefer a full-on seed stitch, fold-down collar. Do I increase a lot? Any tips? Should I absolutely *not* attempt this? Thanks, Jen
I'd knit about 5 rows, increase 5 or 7 stitches evenly spaced. Knit 5 more rows and increase again. Continue to knit this way until it's as long as you want or quit after 2 or 3 sets of increases, dpending on how far around to the front you want the collar edge to come.
