Finishing a sweater is absolutely my favorite part of knitting!

Actually, I think there are lots of knitters who enjoy this step. I think it's a matter of relaxing, taking a deep breath and being patient with yourself. It's almost a Zen exercise for me.
You put so much work and money into making something by hand that it deserves the very best job you can do to make it look as good as it can.

Trish, I can understand that. There is a sort of zen-like quality to it. Just wish it went faster.

Thanks for the link to knitsfinished.com! I just finished my first pieceed sweater, a bolero in a slick cotton. I have no desire to learn seaming on this garment! I emailed her on a quote; even at $30 it's a steal, especially considering time spent dreading it.
