Has anyone knit this hat? I'm planning - well, actually, a few of them (because who *wouldn't* want one? Talk about a great gift!), but I havee a couple of questions for those who might've done it before (googling is getting me nowhere, it's GIGO):

How long did it take you, give or take? Obviously, MMMV.

How well did the starching work? Does the brim hold up well, or is it floppy? What size crochet cotton (or linen, or other material) did you use?
