Has anyone tried the computer program sweater wizard? From what I read it helps you design your own sweater patterns.
Before I go out and spend money on this (money that could go for some good wool or other supplies) I woiuld like to know if it is worth it.

I use SW on nearly every project - have had it since the first version came out several years ago. I use it to design, I use it to customize a commercial pattern. It's worth every penny. And if you have problems, Carole Wulster (the developer of the software) hosts a Yahoo group and she is very responsive, oftentimes within the hour.

Hi Anita,
Thank you for the tip on the twenty dollars. That twenty dollars could be a couple of skeins for a tank top or sweater!

I saw your completed projects and the one that won 1st prize.
The American flag is beautiful!
Don't ask me to say which sweater I liked best. There were three at least that I thought were outstanding.
Good jobs on all of them - shorts, vest, etc...
