| What are these used for? My wheel didn't come with one, although it was supposed to. Can you make one or use a substitute - like a crochet hook? |

You certainly can, and some stores sell really beautiful handmade ones (I have twice as many threading hooks than wheels for this reason) They just pull your yarn or leader through any guide hooks from orifice to bobbin. You may not even need one, depending on the set up of your wheel (I believe the Majacrafts don't need one, and if my yarn is firm enough I often don't need one for my Lendrum) but it's a good excuse to buy a pretty tool!

look on the front right below the oriface.... see the wooden knob......pull that out----that's the hooks you will need it to thread the leader through the oriface so you can spin

Oh - did you get a Lendrum? Yes, the hook is a bit disguised. Vi's right (like that's a surprise ) it's a bit disguised. It's just to the right, below the orifice, a little knob sticking out.

| This thing is in there so tight it's like it's been glued. I may HAVE to get another one or make one. Looks like it's made out of a wire coathanger. |
