I use to be able to jump in and answer this question with a loud jklneedles.com! I can no longer say that. There are a couple of threads with people that were quite disappointed with them. I figured I'd give them a chance again and placed an order for items that I didn't absolutely need right away.

The disappointing thing for me is that I can't get them to return any emails. I'll wait it out and see how long it takes.

There are some needles that I do need. I'd go to my LYS for except I've been and they don't have what I wanted to buy.

So my question to you is:
What is your favorite reliable online source for knitting needles?

Actually, I have several favorites, depending on what I need:

1) Elann, especially when I'm getting yarn as well. They also have a light orders $3 shipping charge for just a pair or two. Their inventory is displayed so you know if what you want is in stock.

2) Webs, for their store brand bamboo needles. Great quality and price.

3) Lately, I've been getting long Addis for magic loop socks from an Ebay seller in the UK. Responsive seller and reasonable and prompt shipping:

I've used JKNeedles quite a bit, too. No problems so far. But I've discovered a fairly new LYS not too far away. The yarns they sell are a bit pricey for me (I love KnitPicks!) so I'm vowing to purchase any needles or accessories from them rather than online from now on. I may buy an occasional yarn or two, as well, but what little budget I have for yarns will mainly be going to KnitPicks and discount online shops, since even with shipping it is usually tons cheaper.

Thanks for this link. I need to add to my Addi collection and the selection and prices here look great.

I buy needles everywhere, LYS and online, depending on what I am looking for.

I like to buy from Elann because they have a good selection of Addis and Bryspuns among others and the total spent goes towards the $50 credit which I am starting to approach. The shipping charge for a couple of needles is negligable - equivalent to what the tax would have been. I can also pay w/Paypal and so use my $$ made on eBay and not bother w/ a credit card. Kind of helps me rationalize buying MORE needles. OMG, I wouldn't dare count them up.

I ordered 2 long circs for shawl knitting just last night......

I just placed a needle order at Elann, too. Well, mostly needles, anyway! I buy from my sort of LYS when I can, but they don't always have what I need, and the shipping fee beats what I'd spend for gas and sales tax, too.
