I know that they can deliver up to 11pm tonight
( gee I hope not that late, we go to sleep at 9:30!)
anyway
just thought I would let you guys know
the wheel is on the truck and the truck is headed here

have you ever seen the car commercial where the lady hires a spotlight and a choir to sing when she buys the car? you should do that for today when the wheel is delivered!

HOT is next to the wood stove...
chickens on my shoulders....head......the cat tree
cats on the cat tree
the cats are afraid of the chickens....
life can be interesting around here

I can't wait til your wheel comes, Vi. Reading your threads about it this past week has tickled me. I'm thinking you're not going to make it to bed by 9:30 on this night. I have visions of you spinning madly, surrounded by chickens and cats... cheeks flushed from the heat of the stove, of course.

I am running around in my studio clothes...
which are .......ah....... let us just say.....
they are well used.....
I don't want to scare the ups person....and have them possible DROP my wheel while they run screaming from the sight?
and Yvonne, believe me...... we go up and are crashed by 9:30.....no matter what......since you see I am very very old....
I need my beauty sleep......
about 4000 years oughtta do it.....

| How exciting! You gotta take time to post again when you get it cause once you set it up you won't want to take time to type..... Mine will be here tomorrow but they sent my husband an email that it shipped minus the lazy kate so that won't be here til next Wednesday. He called them right away and told them I'd better be able to spin without a lazy kate cause he didn't want to have to listen to me whine all Christmas day. He emailed me later and asked what the $#$# a lazy kate is. Course neither one of them realizes I won't be able to spin with or without the lazy kate cause I don't know anything about it anyway. |

Your husband is in luck - you won't need the lazy kate until you've got two (or more) bobbins of yarn from which to ply.
Wednesday should be fine.

I even called UPS to ask if they knew WHERE on the truck it was
they said.... they only know that it is going to be delievered today

Maybe you should make a sign that says deliver wheel here and put it in your front yard : ) maybe with Christmas lights around it...

The latest delivery I ever got was 5:30 so hopefully you won't have too much longer to wait casually looking out the window...do you have binoculars?

the light bulb for the spot light burnt out last night!

I am hoping they get here soon
bernie is all excited about this wheel coming too
as he was looking at them in md and last year in rhinebeck....
( although he likes a saxony type wheel)
he's been telling me to 'just order the wheel'
since may 2004

Have you put candles near the windows? Maybe use Christmas lights to draw a big X in front of your house?

yes minh there are candles in the windows...
and they are lit....( electric candles with them silicone bulbs...
I keep going to the door and looking...
bernie just called from work, he is fixing to leave and come home
he was concerned that the wheel hasn't come yet
and he was worried about my roo's downstairs.....
( the roo's are fine I just came up from down there)
by the time this wheel gets here....
It will be too late to play with it...
I will be sleeping with visions of corriedale and tunis dancing in my head
