reserved a sheepie for spring from RQL tunis and the goatie is a milk doe... for my soap making.....she is being born in febuary...( around the 28th)
so only one fleece, BUT I have so many friends with fiber producing livestock....there are literally buckets of fibers laying around all over the place....
merino alpaca cashmere BFL jacob texel angora corriedale
and of course my tunis when she gets here
there are a few more fibers but I forget what they are right now.... I think welsh mountain and maybe como
carole put a whole big room on the barn and one wall that is 18 feet high X 16 feet long holds shelves and selves of fibers and that is just one person
linda is spinning her dog 'teddie's' hair.. and I think donna is spinning one of her cats.
so we gots fiber..... and more fiber we can fill a pool with fiber
it's good to have friends

Congrats vi! I guess you're not in shock anymore, since you're already making lists of what you will spin ;)
Btw, this means that I could have sent you the Harry Potter book since Bernie has done his shopping. Rats! Did you get my evil surprise in the mail?

I didn't get to the post office Minh, bernie went but the counter part was closed...only the mail box part was open... I did however get a yellow card that says I have a package...
minh, what did you do???? do I have to come up there.....?
I could bring a chicken to you .........you know...... marguarite is a very clingy chicken.... she thinks she is human..... and a wrist ornament.
vi
I am getting over the shock and now I want it here right this SECOND cause I got some tunis to spin, and some corriedale I dyed up last summer
hmmmmmm this may make life easier...
OR
it may make the house more cluttered....

No, my surprise should fit in a single envelope so the package is from somebody else. The envelope won't be from Massachusetts though, it will be from a town in Pennsylvania which is about a 20 minute drive from your place.
When is the wheel scheduled to arrive? You'd better clean up and make some room for it right now so that you can start spinning as soon as it gets there.

Hey, wasn't there a recent article in Spin Off about incorporating feathers into your yarn? Congrats on the wheel.

Welcome to the wonderful world of wheel owners!! You will never regret it, and don't worry about finding a place to PUT the wheel... just plop it down in front of your favorite chair (like the rest of us do) and let everyone walk around it!

well......hmmmmmmmm my favorite chair is my computer chair..... (don't ask..... just lets say I fight cats for it....) actually when I was wheel spinning, carole tried to get me to sit in a living room chair.... i couldn't do it I had to sit on a dining room chair....I suppose I will be using a wood chair here. I believe it is going to be here before the holiday
which doesn't really matter as actually it isn't a holiday present... it is a 'lock it in NOW before the price increase' present
oh man...... and I STILL don't have kitchen counters and the kitchen is STILL partially in the living room.... and the hens are STILL in the studio...
and the house is still a mess.
what did I DO?
vi~wondering how I was so insane?
