ARGHHHH!!!! I finally understand that statement! I was knitting away using a pattern off the web, and my cat Trevor walked across my keyboard. With one foot he stepped on the back arrow, with another he got into my book marked pages, and with another HE HIT DELETE!!!
He got rid of over half of the sites I'd bookmarked for various reasons, techniques, patterns etc.... It took me a good ten minutes to find the pattern I had been working on, and who knows what the others were that are now gone with the wind....

Oh dear. I think Trevor needs a timeout. I'm sorry! I know how you feel--my cat is 5% adorable furball, and 95% evil mischief-maker. And that 5% is really only for the sake of luring us into his trap....

If you are running windows XP do a system restore to f afew minutes before the cat hit delete.

I understand that NORMAL cats don't like citrus
the laperms love citrus but then they aren't normal...
maybe you have better luck in cats?

Ok, now I have another reason to love my greyhounds! They may nudge my arms when I'm typing, but I've yet to have one walk across my keyboard! My sympathies, Amie!

My cat hasn't walked across my keyboard, but sometimes I put my old-fashioned telephone on the floor and he has walked across that, and disconnected the call. Much easier to recover from that than lost bookmarks. Hope you find all your special places again.

My stupid cat once step on the delete key while I was taking a break from writing a paper- I had saved some of it, but I lost a page and a half.

slightly off topic, but not...here's how to backup your favorites in internet explorer. I try to do it regularly (LOL, you know how that goes!) :
Internet Explorer 5.0 and above users backing up favorites.
1) Within Internet Explorer, click the File menu and "Import and Export...".
2) Within the Import and Export window click Next.
3) Click "Export Favorites" and click Next.
4) Select the folder wish to backup; if you wish to backup all favorites, leave the Favorites folder highlighted and click Next.
5) Select the destination you wish to save the favorites and click Next.
6) Click Finish.
if you ever have to restore, you just do the same but click import and go to where you saved the file.

How do my cats know how to sit smak in the middle of the screen??? I have three, and all of them know exactly that spot that disables me from seeing anything, and I have a 20" monitor! Even if they are off to a side, they're rubbing their heads or waving their tails and won't shoo for nobody or nothin'. Oh, they spill my drinks too.
