I wrote about this yarn bleeding like crazy when I washed and blocked it. However, when I wore the finished garment, it was as scratchy as can be. [crazy]
I think I'm just going to give the stupid thing away and remake the turtle neck sweater in a softer yarn.
I think boucles in general just don't work for me. They are hard to knit with. Probably not all are scratchy, but I've had it with them. I think I've had it with Interlacements too. [:((] |

I have mixed feelings about Interlacements. It's hard to find around here, so I ordered from their site. They have "special" yarn, which is supposedly yarn they make for events and sell the surplus on line, and then their retail yarn, which you have to buy at a store.
I ordered their special yarn and it took forever to arrive. Forever. I called about six times. It's nice, but splits easily.
They also sold me some of their retail yarn, the Alabama cotton. The colors were washed out and the hank was dirty. I sent it back, and they sent me some wool yarn to replace it, but what a terrible dye job! There are white spots all over, and I have no idea what I am going to do with it. I am chalking it up to a lesson in you-get-what-you-pay-for, and not buying from them again.

| They operate out of Colorado Springs so we get a lot of their yarn around here. I won't swear to this, but I think all they do is dye yarn and sell it. Judy Ditmore, the owner, is just as nice as can be, but something has happened to their yarns in the last few years. I think she had mentioned that she had trained her son and he was helping out. Perhaps they've just gotten too big and can't provide a quality product any longer. |

Thks for the info. If that is the reason, the son needs to be taken out to the shed and whipped with the hanks!!!
