Ummm..... a knitted, felted chain? Not much that caught my eye this time; possily Bristow or Tempting II - without the buckle, though.

I like the kids knit pants and the yoga bag. Have a friend in mind for the yoga bag and didn't want to do a felted one, which is more commonly seen. I book marked a few of the sweaters, but until my kids are in college, I doubt it will happen. That will be 18 years from now, btw.

I really liked this issue. The fish scale socks "Poma"-something-or-other are a project I would knit. I also liked "Danica" the entrelac scarf, "Bristow" the cabled cardigan, and the watchband - how cute is that?

I like the issue too...although I wish it came out earlier so I could knit some of the things as gifts! I'm going to try the necklaces for some last minute gifts though. I will also plan to knit Tempting 2.

Thanks,Kim, I haven't sent them my new email address so I don't get their alerts. I like the fish scale socks, Beeton, and the lacy scarf.

Well, I know what I`m going to do with it. My nine year old son spends half his life running around dressed as some sort of LOTR character, both good and bad. So do most of his friends, so we mums spend a LOT of time making them dressing up stuff from charity shop finds. (My best pal does a mean knitted halberk, let me tell you.) A knitted chain is going to be immensely popular!

I don't normally find very much in Knitty that I would actually knit. I found a few things that I like in this issue though. I like Tuby and Tempting II (I thought that the first Tempting was a bit too frilly-ish and I like this one a lot better), I like the men's drop sleeve sweater, and Danica.
On the "I like but would never knit" list is Forecast (It would look wretched on me) and those cute little toddler jeans (no one to fit into them). This is as happy as I've been with Knitty in a long time.

The pomatomus socks are really cool. I have the perfect yarn for them too.

I liked the Tempting II, but if you don't use Rowan Calmer for the yarn, what would you use?

Count me as happy - I like the bamboo basket, tempting, possibly festive in some fuzzy, luxury yarn, tubey, blu (for my friend's baby), danica. Bristow I'm in love with - and has sadly booted other waiting projects to move up on the miles long list to do. |

Liked "boogie-time", Mrs. Beeton, blanche neige, and several others.
Fun issue with lots of new ideas.

I think Kate the cat is adorable and I don't really like cats... I may make a boy one for my nephew... after I finish the duck I started for him in March (oops)

So many great patterns, so little time. I like the Pomatomus socks (despite the freaky unattached leg model) and Tubey (gorgeous neckline; construction like Klaralund, but more fitted and with fewer seams...awesome!). Jenna Wilson's article on sleeve cap shaping is unbelievably comprehensive.
The knitted chain looks to me like a variation of the cover pattern from Teva Durham's Loop-D-Loop.

Yep, it is. Teva's design is given credit in the pattern notes. I like Kate a lot. :) |
