I'm just asking you all to wish me luck. I'm a pretty experienced baker, but I'm in the midst of making a very ususual cake from a friend's recipe. And the recipe is in Danish. And the cake has seven layers. And it's basically made of meringue. So I'm a little worried. Yikes.

It is layers of nut meringe filled with chocolate whipped cream. The layers are cooling now, but are a bit tough to get out of the pans, since they're so fragile.

Definitely sounds like Opera Torte! I like mine after a day or two when the filling softens the meringue a bit.
