Spindlers (you can join at groups.yahoo.com) is hosting a fiber swap. More information is below. It sounds like a good time! I just received 3 lbs of the most beautiful Finnsheep that I plan to share as part of the swap. Happy spinning...

A fiber swap! This swap is for new spinners as well, so read on! Here are the rules and timeline:
Time: The swap will be open from June 20th to July 15th.
Rules:
1. This is a fleece/breed swap. Sheep, goat, and camalid are all acceptable.
2. All samples should be put up in 2oz bags labled with the name of the breed and any other information you know about the animal. Please do not send in baggies labled "breed unknown", they will be sent back to you untraded.
3. You may submit a minimum of two samples and a maximum of five. Please no more than five. You will get back the same number of samples that you send, just different breeds (o:
4. All samples must be clean, relativly VM free, and ready to fluff and spin. In the greese samples are acceptable as long as they are ready to spin. Any unacceptable samples will be sent back to you untraded. If you are new to spinning and only have prepared fiber, that's ok. As long as you know the breed name and a little info about the animal.
5. Please include in your swap a note with your name, address, number of samples and names of breeds you sent. I will try my best to mix up what you get back. When all samples have arrived here at my house, I will mix them up, repack them, and send them back out to you. If there is a specific breed that you know you dislike with a passion, please let me know and I will try my best not to send it to you.
6. Include with your package an envelope or small box addressed to yourself with appropriate postage afixed. If you live outside the United States please include any forms I might need to fill out for customs. Postage should be really easy, since you are getting back the same weight in fiber that you sent out.
7. Email stacey rothrock <staceyrothrock@yahoo.com> and let me know if you are participating and to receive the mailing address or if you have any questions.
8. And last but not least, a small prize will be awarded to the person who sends in the most unusual/rare breed. So dig deep into your stash!
