Hi Maureen,
Forgive my ignorance of geography, probably should have consulted a map before responding. I've been renting a house in West Dover Vermont all summer and I've been going to a weekly spinning bee at Adam's Family farm in Wilmington, VT. www.adamsfamilyfarm.com. We drove to Green Mountain Spinnery and drove into NH by accident. It was only about 45 min taking into account that we drive like outerstaters and had no clue where we were going. In any event the spinning bees, which cover a different topic each week, have been the highlight of my summer and they would connect you to a larger network of spinners since many of them are connected to nearby guilds.
Hope you found a guild.
Cheers,
E

Hi Maureen, Also check out the Nutmeg Spinners Guild which meets 4 times a year in Northern CT. They have a large membership drawn from all over tthe NE and conduct great programs, meetings with vendors and workshops. <http://www.nutmegspinners.org>
