Is it just me or have you noticed Teri Hatcher wears a lot of hand-knitted looking items? That last little cardi she had on last night was beautiful. She is almost always in something cozy or cute. Are there hand knitters used for television?

I've noticed that too and sometimes she'll wear a scarf that looks handknit. Is she a knitter?

Rumor has it she is, but try to keep in mind that actresses are NOT costume designers.

The actresses (or their sig others) do not choose the costumes on their own - they are sometimes given a choice of a select few options. It is someone's job to choose their clothing, not the actress's job to choose (or knit) it....

"Choose your friends by their character and your socks by their color. Choosing your socks by their character makes no sense, and choosing your friends by their color is unthinkable."

I wonder, if the costume designer OK's it, and it fits their character, maybe they can wear their own stuff once in a while...

Maybe, but why would you want to????? (drool) part of the fun would be to wear/borrow/own all these clothes that are not already in my closet.

Lori,

That's what I was thinking. I'm sure they wouldn't ask you to wear your own clothes but maybe when you've made something you might try to see if you could wear it??

Like "Hey, is there any way my character could wear this sweater I just finished?" Maybe.

LOL! I don't know if they would ask that, but if I made something and it came out well, I would ask!

I think that I read somewhere that many of the characters were knitters and they try to incorporate it into many of the scenes. I really loved the pink cardi that Susan (Terri Hatcher) was wearing was great.

Did you happen to see her on Letterman last week? She said she has a VW bus, and she and her daughter (age 7) take off and go camping along the California coast.

She was also talking about going whale watching. She said that a humpback whale went right under their boat, and she got out of the boat and swam with it.

Different Subject

Bill Cosby used to wear a lot of hand knit sweaters on the Cosby Show. From what I've read, viewers would even send him hand knit sweaters. He would wear some of those, too.
