I have a dr appt tomorrow AM, so I'm definately taking my knitting! I have to get my current socks into a position where I can knit them in public without looking completely scatterbrained (which is how I feel before I get the gauge and pattern figured out), since I'm just now starting to do a gauge swatch, and I need to confirm the pattern I've picked is going to work, but still need to determine how many sts to cast on.. I've got some work to do!

Totally know the feeling....I have to really concentrate on the number of stitches cast on and the first few rows. I got the ribbing done on a mitten (thank god) but kept having problems...turns out I cast on 24 instead of 29....when I turned back, I would start off with the wrong stitch. Ripped it out twice...Thank God it was only a mitten!
